To celebrate the birthday of Elizabeth Ann Seton, almost 150 Sisters and Daughters of Charity in the New York metropolitan area took a Circle Line Cruise. The tour boat passed a house that Elizabeth lived in on State Street and the Sisters cheered. Some took the 2 PM cruise and others the 7 PM. It was a rainy, dreary day but the sun peaked through and the Sisters of Charity smiled and laughed and talked together. The Daughters of Charity of the Northeast Province, the Sisters of Charity of New York, the Sisters of Charity of Halifax, the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth were all represented. Several Associates and co-workers joined the celebration. The Circle Line Cruise generously donated 150 tickets in honor of the bicentennial of the founding of the Sisters of Charity in the United States.
