The Bicentennial Year in Emmitsburg opened with a beautiful liturgy in the Basilica. The principal celebrant was Ron Witherup, Superior General of the Sulpicians. How appropriate since the Sulpicians  were at the  beginning 200 years ago! In his homily, he connected Elizabeth Ann Seton to the Epiphany as she sought to follow her star. All of the Federation Congregations were remembered in the prayers.
