It brings a strategic approach to raising the world’s attention and awareness around the importance of peace to humanity’s survival in the 21st century. Countries are ranked yearly on a global peace index. Its goals are to help prevent and resolve violent international conflicts, promote post-conflict stability and development, and increase conflict management capacity, tools, and intellectual capital worldwide. www.worldpeace.org/wpps.html The World Peace Prayer Society is a nonprofit, non-sectarian, member-supported organization dedicated to spreading the message and prayer May Peace Prevail on Earth all over the world. In 1990 the Society was accepted as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in affiliation with the Department of Public Information of the United Nations.

Their website offers some excellent toolkits on “Faith in Action: Working Together Toward the Millennium Development Goals” in English, French and Spanish, a training manual on “Women of Faith Transforming Conflict: A Multi-Religious Training Manual and other excellent resources.
